Iris De Ceuster, who has a learning disability, collapses while working in her parents' bakery. At the hospital it is discovered that she has infected burns in her genital area. The vice squad is then informed. Hannah Maes begins her investigation by questioning Iris, who tells her that she was attacked at the cinema by a bald man with a hunting rifle. But in Iris' flat, Hannah and her team discover a strange letter that leads them on a whole new trail. Hannah also meets with her father and asks him questions about her older brother Bart, who ran away years ago and has cut off all contact with the family.
